How do I book a ride with TafiNorth?
Download the TafiNorth app from the App Store or Google Play, create an account with your phone number, enter your destination, and confirm your ride. A driver will be matched to you within minutes.
How much does a ride cost?
You'll see the full fare estimate before you confirm your booking. Prices are based on distance and trip type. We do not apply surge pricing — your estimate is always your final fare.
What payment methods are accepted?
We accept cash and debit/credit card payments in-app. Card payments are processed securely via Paystack.
What cities is TafiNorth available in?
TafiNorth currently operates in Kaduna, Kano, Abuja, Zaria, Sokoto, Maiduguri, and Bauchi. We are expanding to more cities in 2026. Check our Cities page for updates.
Can I schedule a ride in advance?
Scheduled rides are coming soon. Currently all bookings are on-demand. You can request a ride and a driver will be matched to you right away.
How do I cancel a ride?
You can cancel a ride within the app before your driver arrives. Cancellations within 2 minutes of booking are free. After that, a small cancellation fee may apply.

How do I apply to drive with TafiNorth?
Visit our driver registration page and complete the 5-step application. You'll need your name, phone number, vehicle details, and documents. It takes under 5 minutes.
What documents do I need?
You'll need a valid Nigerian driver's licence, vehicle registration certificate, insurance certificate, and a profile photo. All documents can be uploaded through the driver app.
How much can I earn?
Drivers keep 90% of every fare. Active drivers in cities like Kano and Abuja typically earn ₦45,000–₦60,000 per week. Your earnings depend on how many hours you drive and which city you operate in.
How long does approval take?
Most applications are reviewed within 24 hours of all documents being submitted. You'll receive an SMS and in-app notification once your account is approved.
What vehicle types are accepted?
We accept cars (saloon, SUV, hatchback), Keke NAPEP tricycles, and licensed taxis. All vehicles must be 2000 or newer and pass a safety inspection.
Is there a registration fee?
No. Signing up to drive with TafiNorth is completely free. We only earn when you earn — by taking a 10% commission on completed trips.

Account & Payments
How do I create an account?
Download the TafiNorth app and sign up with your Nigerian phone number. You'll verify with a one-time code sent by SMS — no password needed.
How do I update my phone number?
To change your phone number, contact our support team directly. For security reasons, phone number changes require identity verification.
When do drivers receive payouts?
Cash trip earnings are instant. Card trip earnings are settled to your registered bank account weekly, every Monday. Minimum payout threshold is ₦5,000.
I was charged incorrectly — what do I do?
If you believe you were charged incorrectly, open the trip in your app and tap "Report an issue". Our team will review and respond within 24 hours. Confirmed errors are refunded within 3–5 business days.
How do I delete my account?
You can request account deletion by contacting our support team. In line with our Privacy Policy, we will delete your personal data within 30 days of the request.

Safety
How are drivers verified?
Every driver undergoes a full background check, licence verification, vehicle inspection, and document review before being approved. Drivers with poor ratings are suspended pending review.
Can I share my trip with someone?
Yes. During any active trip you can tap "Share trip" to send a live tracking link to any contact. They'll be able to see your location in real time without needing the TafiNorth app.
What do I do if I feel unsafe during a trip?
Use the emergency button in the app to alert our safety team immediately. You can also call our 24/7 support line. If you are in immediate danger, call 112 (Nigerian emergency services).
How do I report a driver?
After any trip, you can rate your driver and leave feedback. For serious incidents, tap "Report driver" from your trip history. All reports are reviewed by our safety team within 24 hours.
What happens if I leave something in the car?
Go to your trip history, select the trip and tap "I lost an item". We'll connect you with your driver. If the driver returns the item, a ₦500 recovery fee may apply.
